Chiyoko-san was so gracious and understanding, especially since we had to delay our trip by one day, and she was able to accommodate us without complaint. Her expertise with the Tokyo metro system helped us to see so much more than we could have with our jet-lagged brains! Having a guide on our first day in Tokyo helped us to feel more confident touring on our own in the following days.

We had the pleasure of spending the day with Shigeo on our second day
in Japan and had an amazing experience. He was such a joy to spend time with
and so informative, taking us to places we likely would have missed without
him. He was very kind and friendly and tailored the tour around what we
wanted to see. Great communication!

Our tour with Haruko-san was extremely fun and informative. She was punctual, professional, and highly knowledgeable. We were so happy to hear from a local how Tokyo has changed through the years. We also enjoyed learning about the meanings of the things we encountered such as the Meoto Kusu, Shimenawa, the chrysanthemum crest etc. She even went the extra mile by taking us to additional nearby places that were not originally part of our itinerary. Thank you so much and we hope to tour with you again soon!

Fantastic introduction to Tokyo
Emiko was the perfect guide! From the initial correspondence between us and arranging our meeting, to leaving us back at our hotel at the end of a very interesting day, she was charming, helpful, polite and informative. She took us to Tokyo’s popular sights and directed us to museums, art galleries etc. that we were able to find and visit later in our time in Tokyo. She also helped us navigate the Metro system (it was our first day in Japan) and walked us through areas of Tokyo that we would quite possibly not have found or seen otherwise, pointing out quirky buildings and places of historical interest.
We had lunch together in a soba restaurant she recommended. Emiko ended the day by giving us some origami cranes and little card holders she had made for us, which was a lovely thought.
Tokyo Free Guides is a fantastic resource for travelers new to Tokyo and I highly recommend it. Thank you very much for this service, and especially to Emiko.
